Antti Mannynvali (pronounced: Man in valley) is an urban artist from Helsinki, Finland. He was born in 1979 and has been creating visual arts since 1993. His work is heavily influenced by graffiti, comics, urban lifestyle and street culture.
He graduated as Master of Arts from Southampton Solent University in 2004. Originating from the more notorious suburbs of Helsinki, his first show was a joint exhibition in the library of Koivukylä. Along with joint shows with the leading figures of Finnish urban art, Antti has had many solo exhibitions. The most important ones being “People of Helsinki” at Ateljee bar in 2011 and “Pandamonium” in 2012 at Make Your Mark Gallery in Helsinki. Pandamonium was followed by “Panda hits the streets!” at Galleria Alkovi.
Antti likes to describe himself as an urban folk artist and a modern gentleman. Antti sees the urban art movement as something which has the same revolutionary change of mentality for visual arts as Rock music had for the music scene in the 50’s and 60’s.
